Software for NAS media files

So I  recently learned that iTunes have almost no support for music files on a NAS or network folder. What software do people use to play music files off a NAS other than Plex for multi platforms?

If you want something similar to iTunes (in terms of it being a music library), then I'd suggest Music Bee. 

 

I have all of my music on a network share, but you can set Music Bee to point at multiple locations. loads of customisation, such as themes, global hotkeys, multiple libraries, layout etc.
