Is HDR worth it?

Hi,

 

I'm looking to buy a new laptop, it comes with two variants for the screen.

 

The first option is a 1080p 240hz 300 nits IPS panel.

 

The second option is a 1080p 144hz 500 nits FDR IPS panel.

 

The second option costs $100 more than the first.

 

I will mainly use the laptop for watching videos, doing work as well as game (primarily csgo and dota but occasionally play other stuff like overwatch, starcraft, civ, etc.)

 

Is the $100 more for HDR and brighter screen worth it? It seems the only thing I'd lose would be the refresh rate, but almost every video online says that it's extremely hard if not impossible to notice a difference between 144hz and 240hz
