Help with setting up network at new house.

Chewique

Hello!

So i'm moving to a new house in a few months and am currently planning the new home network. Our ISP will be Virgin Media and I will get their 500 Mb\s connection. I will then put the router that comes with it into modem mode and use 3 Google WIFI hubs as a mesh network to get full coverage of the house and the garden. Is there anything else I need to consider about the network or is that setup good?

Also, I need to create a home server to store confidential work files securely. How would I implement this into the network and what is the best option for storage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Get some QNAP NAS with WD red drives, Raid 1, dual NIC, upload/download, don't connect it to the internet, place it in different subnet so it will not be visible and you are good to go
