What is the fastest M.2 SSD?

Anoraked

Hey!

The title says it all. I would like to know what the fastest m.2 ssd is. Budget is no problem. Using it as a boot drive, so 128gb is probably the ideal capacity.

My mobo is the X570 Ace (https://ie.pcpartpicker.com/product/pGXYcf/msi-meg-x570-ace-atx-am4-motherboard-meg-x570-ace) so it can support gen 4 I think.

Thanks.

Well.. grab a 4th gen SSD. I’d advise going with a larger ssd like 500GB. More

longevity of the drive

I'll have a 2TB Sabrent rocket for games and programs. Really just looking for fast startup.

Appreciate your answer thought :)!

I have a 960 Pro and an MP600 (4th Gen) in my X570 rig. Boot times are identical, so it's going to be pointless getting the fastest drive for that purpose.

Hi,

I won't  bother. SATA SSD is almost just as fast as M2 on boot times. The difference can be noticed most when transferring lots of files. Even more when transferring lots of very small files as M2 has quick access and random write/read speed.
