Is a Ryzen 5 3600 enough for coding?

So, I am building a new rig for gaming and some other stuff like programming and some - not that much tho - rendering. Is the ryzen 5 3600 enough for that?

Yes, it's more than enough.

The Celeron in my laptop is enough for code, compiling huge programs is a different story. If you're just typing in Java, any CPU will do it.

That's what I'm going to do with it mainly. I could change to a 3700x, but I would have to downgrade to a worse graphics card than.

i very much think its gona be great for that, dependent on the cooling you may get varying performance, but its way more than enought.

I'm gonna use the stock cooler at first and if the temperatures are too high, I'm gonna use some liquid cooler.

This not my field but I know my nephew did some programming and he used Amazon web services for compiling the large programs for his university degree. I don't think it costs much at all. He is a student and pretty tight with cash anyway.
