purchasing a new laptop

Hi Guys,

 

i was wondering is the Lenovo S540 AMD worth buying cause in my country its a good deal and for the price. i might do a little gaming like siege, pubg and apex but i will use on low setting. But mostly i will use it for work purpose. do you guys think its a good laptop for the price.

Good specs but a Thinkpad will have more ports, better keyboard and trackpad, a Trackpoint, better build quality, and depending on which one you buy might be thinner and lighter.

 

I'd take a look at a Thinkpad.

If you're looking for actual gaming capabilities, look at the Lenovo Legion Y540 or Asus TuF FX505 2019

ok what if i dont want to play any 3 AAA games.what laptop would be good? i wnat sometihng slime and easy to carry with + not expensive.

Then you will have to pay lot of money. If you want thin and powerful without massive issues the cheapest you can go is the Zephyrus GA502 for 1200$

I literally just bought Lenovo P43s - have a look at it. Has a 2gb dedicated graphics (Quadro) and apparently a very decent battery life, although not as cheap as S540. To be fair, I got a very good student discount, which made it easier for me to justify.
