So, I updated windows and after I updated it every time I try to play a game that uses Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015-2019 x64 Minimum Runtime, it would try to download it and gives me the error that I am trying to use a network resource that is unavailable and I should try and find the folder that contains "vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi" I have went back to the earlier version of windows, before I updated it and the error is still here. I have contacted Microsoft and all they have done is update windows again to fix the "Corrupted files". It hasn't done shit. I have went to websites to download the 2015-2019 visual C++. It gives the same error. I have ran ReImage repair. Also hasn't done shit. What the fuck should I do. Games run if I continue to click cancel, but crash after 10 minutes of playing. Games for example are GTA 5 & Battlefield V

Hi @BadGuyNick

This error is quite common when installing MS applications in combinations with auto deployment solutions but you probably are not using those? Purging all content of the cashe location the error gives is often a solution, have you tried this already?

So in short :

1. Delete all content in C:\Programdata\package cashe\

2. Try to install again

Make sure to make a backup first although it is probably not required.

That will makes it a little more difficult then. This error is about install files that can't be found. So you might want to first fully remove C++ 2019 from your computer via program's and features. After removal make sure that there are no files left of it in Program data. After which try to install again. Also check if you have the folder C:\windows\ccmcache, when you have this folder remove the content in this folder.

@Jarno.

So here's what happened. I have already uninstalled the 2019 version earlier but I have cleared the cache and there was no ccmcache file. I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall all traces of the 2015-2018 versions also cause there was errors with those versions too. After all traces were gone I went to the Microsoft website and got the direct download for Visual C++ 2015-2019 and I got the same error as before.

I see, you gave me the first challenge of this evening on this forum ;)

Can you post the direct link to the MS website you downloaded the install files from? Did you download a MSI file or EXE?

@Jarno. It was a exe file. The website is from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads I picked the x64 version

I also just uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0 just incase

@Jarno.One more thing when installing the .exe file. it gives me the same error, so if I press cancel it says that the older version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 X64 Minimum Runtime - 14.22.27821 cannot be removed.

I'm having the exact same issue and I've looked through this thread. I tried several times to install logitech gamehub but I received the error. I tried reinstalling the latest Visual C++ runtime it needed (x64) but it said it could not remove the older version of it. What do you mean by check program and files?

Have you found a fix for this problem yet?
