It had been peaceful for half a year that my ram used xmp to overclock to 3200mhz. At the same time, I also overclocked my 9700k on z390-f to 5ghz(seldom crash).

However, I encountered BSOD today. I reset the bios to default and just enabled XMP.

I found out that when I enabled XMP, the dram voltage was not the rated one in profile(1.35v) and raised up to 1.45v. I also noticed that the vccio voltage was automatically set to 1.35v and system voltage agent to 1.4v, both were abnormally high.

It resulted in crashing and restart loop. I have to disable XMP to get in window.

but now I can’t boot up even with XMP disabled. Does that mean my cpu or motherboard probably affected by OC and lead to memory problem?

PS

The first pic showed that my XMP is not working(3100 instead of 3200)

The second one was taken when I reset the abnormal voltage back to auto.

My memory module is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz C16 2*8GB

Please let me know how to deal with this issue. Thanks!

From my experiences, at least on an x58 system; when "Memory Ok!" (unless it's not the MemOK! I am thinking of) starts kicking in it is usually a DIMM that is on it's way out.

Try running a single memory stick at a time.

I am kind of worried that you burned out some motherboard traces in all honesty.

Except this is mirroring my Memory Ok issues from my old x58 system, so you are probably going to be fine now.

Edit: Maybe run memtest86 from a bootable device just to be sure.
