Does this really have only one CPU? - Dell T610

Masman8675

Hey all, this listing on FB marketplace has me confused.  Looking at it on Dell's website (https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pedge/en/server-poweredge-t610-specs-en.pdf), it appears to have dual socket support, but the seller says only one, which looks like it may be the case.  Is it a Northbridge cooler?

Also, what PCI-E version is that?

Just now, Genwyn said:

Its dual CPU, thats a dummy over the other socket, you can see the yellow sticker on the socket cover inside it.

The T610 only has pcie x8 slots, and none are open backed, you'll need to either cut a slot to open back or cut a gpu down to x8.

Ah.  Very good, very good.

Ya, that'd be an easy fix with a dremel.

Thank you!

The slots on the bottom right can be lifted right out without any issue, just by moving away that blue plasticy bit. :)

EDIT: and so it should be a dual socket board, but it only has one CPU. Do make sure that, if you're looking to get a second CPU, the required traces are in place, as Dell often leaves out some parts of a motherboard to differentiate between different price points.
