YES! when I purchase the GTX 770 I will definitely be grabbing a backplate, I think that should protect it right?

That'll protect from any issues, though I doubt there would be any issues anyways.  I think the short cable kit would help but if you sleeved it, it would be sexier ;)

Good! I actually just did some more cable management and it looks way better than it did before, even cleaner! I may sleeve them in the future but for the moment I'm focused on finishing everything else and perfect cable management. More pictures tomorrow when the sun is out and the lighting isn't horrible!

It's true! I always think of ideas while I'm on my computer or doing something else and test them out, it looks a lot cleaner now IMO. Good luck with your cables! Pesky things.

The wiring looks good. The desk doesn't :( .
