How do i force delete a file via CMD in Windows 7?

So im trying to delete a file which i called "to be deleted" (just trying to see if it works) but whenever i type

 

del /f to be deleted 

 

It says it cant find it. Its a MS Word / .docx file and its on drive E

if the filename has spaces in it, you need to put quote marks around it. Also include the extension in the filename.

Still cant find it, an i doing this correct then though?

You're in the C:\Windows\system32 folder right now. Unless your file is located there, it's not going to find it. You need to navigate to the correct folder first (cd "E:\folder_path")
