Are AMD's new APU worth it?

I am wondering if I should go for one of AMD's new APUs for a itx budget build (May I mention it is for moderate gaming in a HTPC). Is the GPU good enough for gaming even when it is crossfired with a r7 240/250?

If they don't give the best price to performance ratio, what could be recommended?

Thanks! :)

For moderate gaming it is good enough, most games can be played 720p medium setting. My A10 5800K plays Dirt 3 1080p in medium setting averaging 54fps

no point in getting an apu if you're getting a graphics card really... just buy a regular fx series processor in that case.

No, go with a cheap processor and a cheap graphics card.

An Intel Celeron with a 7770 or 7790 will beat the Kaveri APUs handily.

My Personal Rig - AMD 3970X | ASUS sTRX4-Pro | RTX 2080 Super | 64GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 | CoolerMaster H500P Mesh

My Wife's Rig - AMD 3900X | MSI B450I Gaming | 5500 XT 4GB | 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 | Silverstone SG13 White

I am going itx for this build because I have a Silverstone itx case already. I am pretty sure there are no amd am3 itx motherboards

just go for intel then just like everyone else in the thread is saying. The crossfire with the kaveri apus gives very minimal performance gains and besides, you need expensive fast memory to really take advantage of kaveri.

I say they are only worth it for a very low budget gaming rig.

My budget is about $450 but there is about a $50 wiggle room
