iTunes Location and Media

I installed iTunes to a USB 3.0 flash drive, and I want all of the files to be on the flash drive. This includes the library file, album artwork, all of the downloaded songs, etc... but I cannot get it to stop automatically populating my default Windows music folder. I do not want to change the target of the default music folder, because I want everything that is not iTunes to still go to that folder. I only want all of the iTunes files on the 3.0 flash drive. Please help!!!!! I need to figure this out before this Friday evening EDT!!!!!

Deselect organize iTunes Media in settings and the setting to copy media to the media folder.

Thanks for the response, but unfortunately I already tried that to no avail. I did find the solution late last night though, and that was to hold down the shift key while double-clicking to open iTunes. This allowed me to select another library file. Sorry that I did not post this solution earlier.
