Can VLC edit media data for a mp3 file just as good as Mp3tag?

I believe it can, but why bother when MP3tag is a better option? I use MP3tag to update tags on all the ripped CD's in my collection.

Not in such mass way. For individual files sure, but you can do that from Windows so....
