Choosing a laptop for Blender and Gaming

Hi! We're shopping for a laptop that can work well with Blender, some gaming, music and other media at same time.

My budget is $800, I prefer having the following features: Numbpad, 1 TB HDD (add'l SSD is a plus), multiple USB ports, no-touch screen.

I would also like an optical drive but have been unable to find one at this price point.

Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated!

Also just get a USB DVD drive they're like $12

Actually, most work will be done at home so laptop is not 100% required, could be desktop.  Was just thinking a laptop would be usable in different spots at home.

Is there specific requirements to look for if I am working with Blender?

Are you going to be rendering out blender files? Because in that case you probably want something with 2 RX 570 8GBs, as it's the cheapest decent card with 8GBs of VRAM, and you could pair it with an R7 1700 or R7 2700 for what your budget can handle.

Also for the other stuff, you can just use a cheap laptop or chrome book, or hook up a mouse and keyboard to your phone even. And remotely control your Desktop PC in the future.
