$200 or under phone

Looking for a good cell phone for under $200 Canadian. I dont really know much about phones these days besides the general Galaxy and Iphones. The cell phone will be primarily texting calling and listening to music. Also it has to have expandable storage. Any suggestions and why I should get that phone would be helpful.

If you have At&t you can actually get the Moto x for free with contract  but you live in canada so thats not much of an option.

For that price you should be able to find a mint condition used Samsung S3. That's probably you best bet.
If you want a new phone, the Nokia 520 seems like a good bet for you. 64gb expandable memory via microsd, and if the only other things you're using it for are phone and text you really won't notice the lack of apps.

This phone isnt for me but my parents and brother there switching phones and needed something new. My dad would just use it for testing and calling mom would be using the camera as well as texting calling. My brother would be calling texting listening to music probably use it for using our wifi and maybe play apps

And they won't give you some kind of deal for switching? Honestly if you're signing a new contract you should be getting the phones for a highly discounted price.

Father: You should be able to find a Blackberry Z10 on Craiglist new, sealed in the box for $200. If not they're $299 on Amazon.

Mother: Alcatel OneTouch Idol X. Supposed to have a pretty decent camera. Can get it in a nice red color too. $249

Brother: Alcatel OneTouch Idol Mini. Expandable with a 32gb SD card, Android 4.2, $149.

 

Going to a store and buying a phone doesn't leave you with many options, at all.

Bell only has 2 phones under $200, the Alcatel OneTouch Idol Mini, and the Sony Xperia M.

 

If you're fine ordering online, your options are opened up a fair bit.
