Hello there, I'm about to upgrade my old S7 edge to a newer phone. I have $225 for a phone, and I'm only looking to buy used phones, because you can get flagship performance for good value. Please don't try to tell me to buy other phones, I want one of the following ones ( both goes for $225 used here )

-Samsung Galaxy Note 8

-Samsung Galaxy S9+

What do you think will be the better deal for me? I like the S pen for the note but the S9+ is newer and has a bit better specs but a smaller screen.

system out println("Please don't drop it Linus!");

Setup:

Thinkpad W530 😕

Some comic sans because why not

Pretty sure people looking at a Note know the Notes have massive screens, that's been a feature on them since that line has existed. I think the OP wants the phone they said they wanted, not the one you think they need to fit in the pockets you assume are too small while also assuming they put the phone in their pocket in the first place. A lot of assumption for basically no addition to the post.

OP, both will be very snappy devices and perform well, S9+ may stay faster for the long run due to being newer and slightly faster in the first place. I'd go for the S9+ unless you think you'll use the stylus a lot or really want the bigger screen on the Note.

EDIT: aight, the screen difference is .1 inch, so it'd really be the pen vs a bigger battery: https://www.pocket-lint.com/phones/buyers-guides/samsung/143756-samsung-galaxy-s9-plus-vs-galaxy-note-8

S9+ has a slightly improved camera, slightly faster SoC, and much better speakers. Other than that they seem pretty equal.

If the device has only 64GB of internal storage with no sdcard slot, do not buy it at all.

Be very careful

Both of them are 64Gb with SD card slot
