What Laptop should I get?

Hi guys,

Im looking at laptops to get for college but also for some decent gaming, doesn't have to be to crazy though. The current laptop that I have been looking at is the ASUS Zephyrus ga502. I like the look of this laptop as it isnt to "gamery" and isnt bulky or too heavy so its still portable. However this laptop uses Ryzen 7 3750h and I have no past experience with AMD and have always stuck with intel. If anyone here has this laptop or any other suggestions of laptop to get (thats a similar price) please feel free to tell me.

Thanks again.

I'd reccommend either the Dell G3 or G5, the 3750H is decent, but its a 4c8t IIRC so a compareable CPU would be the i5-9300H

thats a comparebly spec'd laptop for 400$ less.

If you want a better CPU, then there's this

which is a bit heavier and bulkier but has a spinny disk and a i7-9750H, the G3 is lighter and has 512GB NVMe SSD at just 700$ so thats a steal

I have a Zephyrus G. its a pretty good device. Each charge lasts me about 5-6 hours cause of the battery size and can play games with relative ease. Keep in mind Asus isn't the most reliable brand and the thermals on such a thin laptop arn't fantastic merely good. I typically have V-Sync on to decrease the load.

yeah thats basically what the one I mentioned was, but almost 2x as expensive (ouch the pound lost a lot of value). I'd that over the Zephyrus as it has a iGPU and 6c12t, so if you are just watching youtube the Nvidia dGPU will shut down to save energy.
