Will I be able to use raid 10 with only 3 drives? The idea is to have 2 HDD's running as raid 0, then combine the now raid 0 as one drive with an SSD to create a raid 1 array. Is this possible,do i need a raid controller? All and any information is welcom.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

Dont know HOW im setting up this raid. I would be using Windows 10, but i can use alternatives.

But really this is was just a project idea to put some old hard drives to use, that i could get redundancy without sacraficing the speed of my ssd.

You need 4 Drives to create an RAID10

Just an Idea:
Put the 2 HDDs in a RAID1 for redundany and use something like PrimoCache (with your SSD) to accelerate it.  I really wont recommend this way doing it!
If your PC crashes, you could lost Cached Data.

Id just use storage spaces.

But since you have a hdd and ssd, just make a mirror with the hdds, and keep the sesd seprate.
