I was wondering if my cpu was being bottle necked by my gpu?

 

I have a i7-6700 cpu and a 1070ti gpu

what are you trying to do?

if games, what settings, what game, what resolution. 

we need more details.

 

is cpu running at 100% while gpu is <90% ?

resolution, refresh rate, games

but short answer, yes the 6700 bottlenecks modern day AAA games below 60fps 1% lows, i.e. most ubisoft games+mhw etc.

here is a video that walks you through the basics of how to tell:

 

The TL;DW is basically if your GPU's don't exceed 80-90% usage while gaming then you are being bottle necked by the CPU.
