The Ryzen 5 1400 or 1500X

That's Zen. The 3550H is Zen+.

I would have to say 3600 which would be more powerful but it is the closest to your laptop CPU.

That's Zen 2. The 3550H is Zen+.

OP, there is no direct equivalent on desktop. It's like a Ryzen 5 3400G running lower clocks.

Yes 3200g, I think the 2200G would be less powerful but don't quote me on that.

Its pretty similar to the 1400 since the 1400 runs at higher clocks to compensate for the architectural difference.

The 1400 runs lower boost clocks than the 3550H.

The 3550H is power limited in some declvicea. But I do see yoournpoint..so that a why I listed the 1500X. Since that usually represents a good range. The 3750H is closer to the 2400G

Thank you

The i9 series of laptops are good but at the end of the day you have no choice what hardware is inside the laptop.  Your more concerned about portability and getting work done away from your home.  They will throw some cheap i9 in there just like they put in a pos AMD on laptops.  Same sh*T ,,,, The only good thing you can do to a laptop is your concerned about speed is use a SSD if doesn't already have one.  That is a huge upgrade, the rest you have no control over.
