Gta 5 bad fps

Okay when i'am in a place with alot of grass and trees i get 45 fps but in the city i get 80.

 

Specs:

1070 ti

i7 9700k

16gb ram

970 evo pro

old 500w corsair psu

Totally normal. Lower the grass quality to normal/high, definitely don't have it on anything higher.

Still i got a 1070 ti and a cpu that is overkill, how do i get so low fps?

You're telling me you haven't known this for 6 years? It's GTA V. Completely common for fps to be low in the city and high outside the city. Especially online in highly populated lobbies.

Hardware doesn't matter. Even on the lowest settings. All you can do is tweak the settings to maximize fps without losing visual fidelity. Lucky for you, I've already done this for you...

 

This isn't going to fix the fps drops but it will give you a much higher and more stable frame rate. Proof...

 

And I'm using an old 6th gen i5 paired with just a 1070. And this is outside the city. Imagine inside the city.
