Basicaly i just built a new pc and was wondering if changing the power cable mattered since i jad an older build already on my desk witha cheap evga white lable 500w psu and im upgrading to the corsair rx750 gold rated i think and didnt want to have to pull out all the cables just to put in the new one

CPU: Amd Ryzen 3400g 

COOLER: Be Quite Dark Rock Pro 4

MOBO: Aorus x570 elite 

RAM: 2x8 Corsair Vengence 3200 MHz 

SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB

GPU: Powercolour Red Devil RX570 4GB

PSU: Corsair RM750x 80+ Gold

CASE: Coolermaster H500p Mesh

The cables from the PSU to the wall outlet are interchangeable, so you're fine using the old cable as long as it's not damaged.

If you bought the rx750 new, I would use the cable that came with it. If not, use the cable with the EVGA 500w, stress test the PC, and see if the cable gets warm. If it gets too warm, buy a thicker cable rated higher than 750w (preferably 1200-1500w).

I don't recall if the UK power cord that EVGA used on their shit series had a fuse or not, but do check for that.  The Corsair power cord is fused.

 

Furthermore, the Corsair power cord has thicker gauge copper and a higher flammability rating.

I already swapped it out
