Hi,

I was given this pre-owned TV and its displaying the following artifacts shown in this image :(

The image would freeze partially from the horizontal line shown, all the way to the bottom. Along with red or yellow vertical lines on the right.

I was wondering what sort of possible problems could there be with the TV that would cause such behaviour. Anyone know?

Thank you in advance, im kinda new to this forum.

This can be anything from the board which generates the video signal for the panel and any connections between there and the LCD panel.

Its also often the bond of the ribbon cable itself to the LCD panel, in which case that can't be repaired (the whole panel has to be replaced).  But its worth re-seating any of the ribbon cables first just to see if it helps.  It can simply be a loose or dirty connection.
