My worst nightmare

Okay so here's a thing, my complete pc specs are as follows:

 

Ryzen 1700

Corsair vengeance led 4x8gb 3200mhz

Cooler master black edition

Seasonic 850w 80+ (not sure if bronze or gold)

Amd rx580 8gb asus strix

Case is nzxt s340 elite black

Monitor is asus vc239h ips

3 and 4tb hdd

240gb and 480gb ssd

 

I never had this issue before, just recently right after i switched my xfx rx580 to strix. When i try to open a game the display just turns to green or black, display signal is gone while the cpu is completely running. All games i have in my pc including the ones in steam library. Then it got worse like it wont boot anymore and the vga led of the mobo is lit. So my suspect was the gpu, tried everything switched a 1070 card and it was fine. I had to downgrade the bios and reformat the OS but in never fixed the issue. Rma the card and bought a 2nd hand rx480 temporarily. 

 

When the replacement from asus came I switched the new strix card right away and tested it, played a couple of games like dota 2, pubg, world war z at mid to high settings with ease. Then I played rise of the tomb raider this past few days, it was fun until the issue Ive had before came back - green display on my main display and blue on my second display. Tried everything i could think of like switching rams, using only 2 dimms, lowering the cpu voltage to cause it was on auto. Turning everything back to default when it was on default in the first place. Never overclocked any parts of it. Using ddu and re installing chipset and gpu drivers, switching cables, amd putting gpu on the 2nd pcie slot. All to no avail. Browsing the internet for forums hoping i might stumble with a similar issues like me but none.

 

I am 100% sure this is not the gpu's fault anymore. I am hoping someone here might have faced the same issue and probably fixed theirs.

It could be that Asus Strix gpu you got that's causing the problem.

But its newly rma and i also switched to my old rx480 amd the issue is still the same.

So you have a RX480 or did you switch from a XFX RX580 to a Asus Strix RX580?

My first gpu was the xfx them switched to strix then later found out that strix was faulty and had to rma it. Bought a temporary rx480 reference card msi 2nd hand.

Guys I have found the culprit. It was the psu all along. Had a loose slot in psu connector, switched to another slot and its working fine now so far.
