Hi there,

I would describe myself as an experienced pc builder.

But since this will actually be my first custom loop. I would love to get some feedback on these specific parts I chose here. If anyone could look over it and tell me about potential problems I would be really happy :D

Case: Lian Li PC-O11D (W)

Mainboard: MSI Gaming M7 ACK

CPU: 2700x

GPU: EVGA FTW3 1080ti

If you have creative suggestions please feel free to share them.

Looks fine to me.

Though if it was me i would go with EK rads, Alphacool rads have been known to be very dirty, unless things have changed recently, be prepared to do lots of flushing.

If you do go with EK rads only the slim ones will fit on the side wall, especially if you want to mount it on the back side. 2 Thick rads like you have are complete overkill for your build.

You may want to look at adding a ball valve for a drain port to make it easy to drain the loop.

Unless you are vertically mounting your graphics card be very careful about clearance with the waterblock and the side panel of the case, the FTW card looks like its using a taller PCB much like my 1070ti Strix, there is only a couple of millimeters of clearance

thank you so much for your comment,

I forgot to tell you that the bracket for the vertical mount is already in the mail :D (its already a slim fit with the cables)

about the radiators:

I chose alpha for the looks. White theme going on there.

Are you able to share some experiences with other good radiator brands that offer white accents?

please dont judge my cable management and the state of the build. Looking to rework much of it :)IMG_20190901_132418.thumb.jpg.c9e750dd6c878175f87225fb6eab98b8.jpg

I have a 240 Monsta rad, so heres some advice.

Alphacool rads are good, but they need thorough flushing before use. So be prepared to spend the time flushing them .

The Monsta rads benefit most when using push/pull, especially at lower fan speeds. if u cant fit push//pull then i suggest choosing a high fin density thinner rad like those from hardware labs as they perform better with a normal push setup. OR spend out for some high end Noctua NF-A12x25 fans that can be run at higher RPMS and stay quiet to use with the Monsta rad in push only.

CPU: Intel i7 3930k w/OC & EK Supremacy EVO Block | Motherboard: Asus P9x79 Pro  | RAM: G.Skill 4x4 1866 CL9 | PSU: Seasonic Platinum 1000w Corsair RM 750w Gold (2021)|

VDU: Panasonic 42" Plasma | GPU: Gigabyte 1080ti Gaming OC & Barrow Block (RIP)...GTX 980ti | Sound: Asus Xonar D2X - Z5500 -FiiO X3K DAP/DAC - ATH-M50S | Case: Phantek Enthoo Primo White |

Storage: Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SSD + WD Blue 1TB SSD | Cooling: XSPC D5 Photon 270 Res & Pump | 2x XSPC AX240 White Rads | NexXxos Monsta 80x240 Rad P/P | NF-A12x25 fans |

I would not go with either. I would go with the hardware lab nemesis gtx line. They are only 60mm rads, but they out perform even the 80mm aquas.

Then you have the fact the gtx offer great performance almost across the board. You can even get decent performance on low rpm setups if you to push/pull... you cant do that with the monsters.

Anyways just my $.02
