It's a bit old sure, but I have a 4790k + 1070 and I don't have any issues whatsoever

I have a similar setup comparing to performance ( xeon w3690 + gtx 1070 ti ),
You will be fine.
If you see someone saying oh no it will bottleneck this and that, just ignore them and enjoy your setup.
