Hey, I have recently started programming and I am wondering which cpu I should go with ? I am buying it second hand and It can't be to expensive. I am new to programming but I hope to be able to do like graphics and like compiling big programs eventually. This is very CPU heavy I am told and to make things smoother I need a good cpu as I understand it. So what is like good ? Remember I am not making super big stuff, but perhaps a complicated minecraft mod/plugin that is pretty big or like... a program that prints a training program for you. And like... A game bot or something.

I have always been an intel guy btw. xD Kinda hard to switch to the read team but...

Appreciate help!!!

If you really need lots of powahhh, the best on a semi-low  budget is get a ryzen 1700 secondhand (120 euros in the Netherlands). Else go for an older i7. Really depends on your exact budget and 2nd hand market.

Edit: nvm. You need to get more money first or try and get a platform you can gradually upgrade. You CAN start with a low performance CPU, because programs like greenfoot and notepad++ don't use a whole lot of CPU power.
