Cpu bottle neck help

Hello, i'm experiencing a cpu bottleneck. my frames drop from 120 to 30-40. Is there any way to fix it?

Cpu: i5-9600k 3.7Hz

Gpu: GTX1060 6Gb

What kind of thermals are you getting? Resolution your running the game? Stuttering is not a bottleneck issie.

Download MSi Afterburner and go play a game for 10 minutes then take a screenshot of the CPU and GPU usage and temperatures.

 

Also download CPU-z and take SS of all the tabs for us.

 

The i5 9600K is not going to bottleneck a GTX 1060 you should be getting the most out of your GPU in games, so you're running at some sort of issue... it could be because you're running off a HDD alone for both OS and Game it could be a form of bottleneck, if the memory is clocked to 2133mhz it's also going to hinder performance.

 

However given you play a little and performance takes a while to drop down, it is very possible you're thermal throttling somewhere and might have to remount your coolers and such.
