Do you have to have a laptop? If you're doing graphic design I think the best choice would be a desktop and a cheap Ultrabook/Laptop.

Yes i already have a laptop but i would preffer to have a laptop due to the fact that it is a lot more portable and i can take it everywhere

This can do it pretty well. If you want more graphics power, ASUS does a 17" with a 780M.

About £40 over, but it's worth it.

What comes to mind is the dell precision M3800, It has an i7 quadcore cpu, 8 gigs of RAM and a Nvidia Quadro K1100M with 2 GB of GDDR5. And this all in a 18mm and 1.88 kg package. The Quadro's gaming performance is around that of the GT 740M and it will run most modern games on medium, but its editing performance and precision (and lifespan) is superior to any cunsomer grade GPU :)

Quick system specs: MotherboardAsus P5Q-PRO CPUIntel Q9550 @ 3.7 ghz GPUEVGA Geforce GTX 570 HD superclocked RAM6 gigs of ddr2-800 (ouch) DrivesSeagate 320 GB drive for windows and some apps, Seagate 1000 GB drive for games and documents OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit If you think its bad... it runs crysis 3 (almost) maxed out: youtu.be/dL3PNorbub8

That MSI one looks like a goody. I'm not sure if it has an IPS screen though, if it doesn't you'd need an external monitor for sure when doing serious graphic design work. The Razer Blade Pro is also quite good, but they are rather large and a bit more pricey. The 14" has a TN panel, so that's out of the question. There are also the MacBook Pros, but with a highres screen you'd be looking at low frames or switching to non-native resolutions. They also don't have anything as good as the GTX765, your highest option is the GTX750, and if you go with the Iris Pro graphics it's only around the performance of a GTX650. I only mention the MBP because the screens are stellar for graphic design, otherwise they're only ok for games.

MSI is probably the way to go, but make sure it has an IPS panel on it. That won't guarantee you a decent panel, and certainly not a calibrated one (such as the MBP), but you'd at least want that over any TN panel for graphic design work.

What kind of portability do you need?

I know alot of the high-end clevo laptops are really good (performance wise). The speakers aren't great on them and they can be a bit noisy (but that's kinda the norm with gaming laptops from what i've seen), and like alot of gaming laptops it is bulky, but if you're going to game on it, you'll probably be using a headset. You can easily save £400 by purchasing a clevo laptop over a MSI/gigabyte laptop, and with that saved money you can upgrade the ssd, or buy a good pair of speakers/headset.

PCSpecialist is the best/only clevo distributor here in UK. I have a coupon code here for £15 off, it's "PCG82" (it's from my PCGamer magazine and has been the same code for the past 6 months, so it should still work for a while). I looked at the "Vortex IV" (the 15.6" version ofc).

Here is a review of the clevo model that the Vortex IV is using - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Schenker-W503-Clevo-P150SM-Notebook.92973.0.html

My Build

GPU: MSI GTX 1080 ARMOUR | CPU: i7 9700k | Ram: 16gb 3200mhz Motherboard: ASUS Maximus XI Gene | Storage: 2x 1TB NVME 1x 500GB NVME 1x 120GB NVME | Case: Corsair 570X
