Hey all,

I am looking for an RGB air cooler with two fin stacks. Almost all of the RGB air coolers I've seen are single stack (eg Deepcool and Cooler Master) and won't handle an overclock. I want to be able to have the dependability of air, the overclock, and RGB. The closest thing I've seen is Noctua Chromax but that doesn't have lights period.

Anyone seen what I'm looking for?

Says who? I'm overclocking my 6 core i7 on a hyper 212 Evo

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

If you really want a dual tower cooler for the performance, but NEED the RGB, I suggest you buy any old one like the Cryorig R1 or the NH-D15, then buy RGB 140mm fans to put on it. That way you get the best of both worlds, and you get to buy same brand RGB fans that share controller software :)

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Temps? I'm looking to stay about 60-65º C at full load (like Noctua and Be Quiet towers.

That would work, but I'm really looking for a more integrated solution. Like Deepcool's tower, for example. RGB fan plus an RGB plate at the top of the fin stack, but with a second tower and fan. ?

Would full load be gaming? You'd be able to expect sub 70 for something like that , if your CPU and performance goals are similar to mine

Two RGB top plates are unlikely since it's more economical to just light up one plate.

So one massive plate like what Be Quiet uses on their Dark Rock coolers, but with RGB. Does anyone make that? Or the two plate design I mentioned earlier?

What cpu, case, and ram are you using?

Where are you shopping / located? Budget?

There is always the DIY solution of getting an NH-D15, putting the chromax black swap covers on it. Putting a frosted white insert into. Putting an ARGB strip under the frosted strip to get ARGB on the noctua cooler, then put some Corsair light loops white fans on them. It will cost near to 250 bucks, for a 3 pack of lightloops a D15, a corsair rgb strip pack and the chromax covers but you'll also have a third LL120 left over to say replace your rear exhaust fan, you'll have a lightning node pro and rgb hub and your most of the way to a full rgb solution, you'll also have 2 LED strips left over to do up your case and it WILL look amazingly cool and you can do up your case with 3 light loops intakes and be all set with amazing rgb AND a noctua cooler.

That's kind of what I had in mind. But, as you said, it's $250+ USD for an air cooler. I figured that if a product like this existed for air and was mass produced, the price would be significantly lower.

It's a shame that air never seems to get the RGB love. ?

Yeah it looks great but you're stuck with that color forever. I always considered the point of RGB to be having the ability to change things up without totally rebuilding your computer.
