600 $ gaming PC for a friend

Hi guys

A  friend asked me to build them a PC for under 600 euros.

Her main use for it will be gaming.

This is the first thing I came up with: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/bestelkosten/2041844

I went with Ryzen for later compatibility with Zen2, but you might think that's a bad idea. I'd love to hear what you guys would change for the best value gaming rig at or under 600 euros

The case was chosen because they like the color purple so I don't think I can change that

Thanks in advance :)

If he can dish out an extra 50 euro he will have a great gaming build

Yeah that 60 extra dollars is really too much. Does Ryzen not really like faster RAM? And would the extra 15 euros for double the capacity not be worth it?

I'm concerned about the 8GB RAM though, may not be enough for today's standards.

his friend can fit in another 8gb when she gets enough money, for now she'll just have to turn off some chrome tabs.

it's only 3 euros more for the 8gb 570, and the Pro4 is a better board. the HDD will run much slower than an SSD.

the board is better, yes, but she's  not going to overclock I think. I do agree with the 8gb 570. I think a small boot SSD with a larger game drive is the way to go

I would personally prefer 1TB over 480GB, even if it compromises on speed. AAA games are what, 60GB each? He will only have enough space for 8 games and little left over for files.

it's easier to just add in a HDD for storage in the future than to add an SSD later, having to find somewhere to store random files before cloning the OS over to the SSD.

This can be an option...

I know single channel ram... Second stick can be added later on..

And yes, I have fit in a rx580 in the same budget...

He isn't going to overclock, so why does the motherboard choice matter?

Longevity, features, and not to mention the issues often assosiated with that board.

Also BIOS

That's a fine board for running that CPU at stock. Also, popping in a second stick of ram is an easy upgrade according to me, instead of selling old GPU and purchasing a new one.
