paypal refund problem

okay I think this might be just not the bank updating since it's weekend but I want to be sure

 

so I had 830€ in my bank I bought item for 321€ then I got refund from the item fully and then I paid it again since there was some problem but now my bank is saying I've 188€ in my bank?

 

which seems impossible to my calculations.

 

830 - 321 = 509 makes me think that maybe the bank is thinking I paid it twice and the refund is there yet?

 

so I should be having at least 509€ in my bank account? I suspect that problem is that my bank isn't updated on weekends or something cus it seems I haven't got the refund back to my bank yet? 

 

My paypal is directly linked to my bank so it's not in my paypal account.

i did get refunded for something i bought with paypal(linked to bank like you) on a friday evening but i haven`t receive my money back to my card until monday so that might be it. the bank is closed on weekend

Paypal refunds can take up to a week to go back into your account. But the fact some other money has went walk abouts is nothing to do with paypal. Double check your last payments with your bank just to check there haven't been any automatic payments for bills and things.

I don't mind if it takes week to go in bank account but no there hasn't been any other payment except those few paypal fees like some 10$~ so even so the money amount shouldn't be that low should be at least 480-490€ in my account. But like I said I suspect it's cus my bank is closed on weekends so it doesn't appear not even the payment there.

Yeah most likely because of the weekend, it can depend on a load of factors, the company that refunded, your bank etc.

 

I have had instantaneous refunds over a weekend, sometimes it can take a few working days...

Has the money transferred into your Paypal account yet? and you have withdrawn it?

Ya he did refund the money and at paypal it says funds are send to my credit card.

Okay well you are definitely good.

 

Transactions like that would normally be instantaneous for me, but I suppose it depends on your bank. I'm sure you will get it though, during the week at the very latest.

 

Also my bank will never update my balance over the weekend, but my available funds may change so check that if you haven't already.

For me it says Balance is 830€ still but available funds are 188€ so I should get back to 480€ at least..or I do hope so I'll get to there during the week.

Yeah well that makes sense if this was all done over the weekend. You're definitely good though as long as you have a record of it on your Paypal.

It's just laziness on the banks behalf, it's pretty frustrating when getting refunds, but you're definitely okay.

Visa, PayPal and issueing bank will take 7 days maximum to refund the whole amount. I know, frustraiting.
