moto g5 plus power button

I am having a weird problem with my moto g5 plus power button.

 

It will lock the screen, open camera (double click), open power menu (hold), but it will not turn the screen on. I have to use the fingerprint sensor to turn on the screen. 

This is happeneing out of nowhere. I have not done anything that could cause this issue
