I was thinking of buying a laptop. Since most of my favorite games are from 2015 and backwards, I'd like to get something that is both economical but could also smoothly run a game like Witcher 3 (high settings, 60 FPS) which would probably be the most demanding game out of that bunch. Thanks to all in advance.

I can indeed stretch to $600.

Look for something with Vega 8/10 like Thinkpad E495/E595 (this is better) and Ideapad S340-15API, however it's only good for light gaming

Look for a 1050. I don't think a 1050§Ti is possible with that budget. Also you can basically forget about Witcher 3 @60fps unless you fit a 1060 or better in it.

Thanks, I know it might be too ambitious indeed. What about Mass Effect 3 ? Would a 1050 do ?

Then again, checking prices I've seen those 1050 models are around $1000 dollars ?

He wants to play Witcher 3. Idk if the Vega 10 will be able to produce more than 20fps @1080p ?

Look at benchmarks. But anything lower is pointless for such games

Low settings though ?

yeah but it is better than not playing at all i played on a low end system a long time before i upgraded and low settings look completely fine in most games and does not hinder the gameplay at all

It depends on the game I think.
