It just doesnt help much (say 10w to 8w) because even at seemingly high voltages and frequency, Ryzen shuts off parts of cores to save power. Even if frequency and voltages are high, power draw is still low if there's little usage.

Well it won't increase the lifespan by any measurable amount, as the CPU at stock setting undervolted will outlast the usefulness of the system. (provided there is no external mitigating factors)

 

As for saving the power, it's equivalent to less than $0.10/year if my calculations are correct.

It could become unstable with settings that underclock it by that much, and there's no realistic benefits to doing it.

Hell no your Cpu is made for that speed :D Old cpus did never downclock and most of them would still work today / or even do if u did not put them in the treshcan :D
