So I tried installing a game on my hard drive because I didn't want to take up space on my ssd, but the game won't load if I install it on my hard drvie. I installed it on my ssd and works fine. Is there anyway to fix this because I don't want to use ssd space for a game.

Just use Steam, and move the game to whichever drive you want it to boot from.

CPU: Intel i7 8700K | CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 | RAM: Kingston HyperX 2x8GB | Motherboard: Asus ROG Z370-E | GPU: MSI GTX 970 | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB & 2TB | SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB & 970 EVO M.2 500GB | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X | PSU: Silverstone Platinum Strider 1100W | Monitor: AOC i2367Fh | Headphones: ATH-M40X | Mic: Antlion ModMic 4 | Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB w/ MX Browns | Mouse: Logitech G502 HERO

The problem is that the game isn't on steam. I added it to my steam library as a non steam game but all that does is launch the game if i'm correct.

What game? In which part of installation process did it refuse to install?

It's Assassin's creed 1 and I installed it on my laptop, but since I don't have a disc drive for this computer, I just used the ISO. The problem is if I install it on the OS drive/ssd it works fine, but not on my hard drive. The installation part goes through but when I start the game and load my account it just stays on the loading screen.

Any ideas on this?

Only thing I got in mind is that if you have external hdd and its letter keeps changing so games loose paths to some files.

Did you have the game installed on the SSD and then moved it to the HDD? If so, the Registry may still be pointing at the SSD (or the C: drive). You may need to get into the registry and delete any references to the games path.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

No I have a hard drive and ssd both installed in my system.

And I tried installing the game on my hard drive from the start and it didn't work. So I decided to install it on my ssd and it worked fine. So I uninstalled it and retried on my hard drive and again it didn't work.
