Lavalier mic only recording static

I am using a lavalier mic and when I am connecting that in my pc mic jack its not recording any audio and when I use recorder its only a buzz like static sound.

I've tried all the basic troubleshooting (like giving permission, driver update and reinstall etc) available on internet but nothing seems to work.

Also mic is completely fine as it records audio in mobile and laptop with Win10.

Did you try to copy the sound settings of the mic from the windows 10 machine? (assuming you use a Windows OS on your PC)
