Hi guys,
I've spent a while in the last weeks looking for a case that suits my needs but I haven't found the one

Requirements:

PSU must be on another chamber because:

  • I want that spot for another fan as intake
  • Cleaner cable management

Positive or neutral airflow

  • There must be more or same amount of fans on intake than exhaust
  • Must fit two 360 rads will be exhaust in PULL configuration
  • Will install good fan filters on the intakes to prevent dust on rads

I do not need any drive/ssd bays since I'm all NVMe's.

Optional:

I don't mind if it has RGB, ill strip it off anyway since I hate it.
I don't care if it has glass/plastic/mesh panels, after so much searching...

Motherboard I/O Ports on the top (facing up) like Thermaltake Tower 900

Details:

I'm building a custom loop and I want to fit 2x 60mm 360 thick rads. Why EK? Check it out here.

The fans of choice will be Noctua's NF-A12x25, here´s why.

Is an ATX build.

Digging for info:

Lian Li O11 (doesn't fit two thick rads)

  • 1 rad goes on top but the other one cannot go on the bottom as it blocks motherboard I/O
  • if the other rad goes on the front, it gets blocked by the top rad
  • doesn´t fit on the motherboard chamber with fans on the secondary chamber as exhaust

Corsair 1000D (I could live with the PSU below motherboard but...)

  • has some non-removable bays which I don't like
  • cases this airy catch a lot of dust in my area
  • most features I won't need, but would be "futureproof"

Caselabs SMA8 - out of stock -_-

Overall something like O11 but a little bit wider to fit a rad on the side, or a little bit taller so the rads don't conflict would be great.

I'm still looking for cases...

you may be a rare case where either learning to compromise or learning power tools will be your only options.

Ah, thats just right. didn't fall on that. In fact I do have power tools and some skills to work either wood or metal so I could make a case of my liking, its definitely an option indeed.

What about bequiet cases? Those are super modular, so maybe the big ones might work?

Dark base 900 or 700 for example

They are big and modular indeeed, but not modular in the way I'd like them to be.
I actually have the Fractal Design Define R5, I bought it when it launched, this modularity is a bit closer to what I've been looking for instead of the BeQuiet ones.

Even tough the Define R5 does not fit 2x thick 360 rads it could fit one 360 on the top and one 240 on the front but it would STARVE for air since if you place a rad on the front you block the bottom from installing a fan, its a weird case for water cooling. What mocks me the most is that installing a top rad would force the CPU 8 pin connectors to be bent in such a way that the connector might break the custom cables.
