Is it worth shifting(Intel>>AMD)?

Currently I have a i5-9600K 5gHz oc @1.32v(80C max @R20) with Asus Strix Z390-F and Corsair H100i Platinum.
I just bought it 5 months ago.
Should I change it with Ryzen 3600X+Asus Strix X570-F?
I will overclock any chip i'll have in my rig.Ryzen vs Intel, which be future-proof and performance consistent (considering my current and desired spec)?

Yeah no, while the R5 3600 is a better buy than the i5 9600K that applies to people buying now, you already have the i5 9600K it makes no sense to replace it now.

 

Keep using it until it no longer suffices and then replace it for whatever current gen we have here in a couple of years.

if you had an old cpu then sure, but you already have a 9600k so there's no point

 

also, oc on ryzen is non-existent unless on ln2. better to invest in cooling to keep it cool so it clocks higher

Not true actually. OCs on Ryzen are just different. You mostly overclock the memory and infinity fabric as well as the timings. Not the ckockspeed.

For gaming there's no Ryzen that's worth buying on top of the 9600k. Not even with heavy OC because you can do the same on Intel.

 

For workstation, 8 core 3700x and nothing below.
