Hey all.  I'm hoping some folks might have ideas here.

I've had a successful budget remote server build in a Thermaltake Versa H15.  I like it a lot, especially with the extra fans mounted in the front, but it is missing a couple things that my next build will want.

I basically want a larger version of it for full ATX support, and more modern IO on the front panel (preferred on front vs out the top the H15 uses) with USB C, and ideally a combined mic/headphone port as well (I know many hate it, but I love plugging my iPhone headset in and conveniently getting great quality for gaming voice in a comfortable setup).  I wouldn't mind (though not as important as the prior points) a touch wider to allow for larger fans, more air past drive bays, and easy fit of larger tower coolers, since I'll be keeping everything as air and quiet as possible…which naturally means lots of slow air and lots of heat sink surface area.

Things I love about the H15 in my prior build and would like to keep:

Cheap but good quality

No RGB

Good airflow with natural filtering (and/or removable filter)

Decent cable management space (could be a touch more space, but it worked well enough once I put a little time into it, despite the larger sized mATX board I used)

Room for a front facing optical drive (will be used on upcoming build too when it happens)

Solid metal sides (no see through)

The Versa H24/25/22 all seem to be reasonably the same in a larger size, but not have newer than base USB3 Gen1 support.

The end system will be a combination gaming/workstation/production AMD setup, so will have at least a couple spinning disks as well as the NVME for boot/programs.

Solid side panels are significantly less common than they used to be. Everything is acrylic or TG now.

Some good options.  Unfortunately no USB C.  Hadn't heard of Cougar before, so that's especially interesting.

I agree with the solid side panel thing being unfortunately less common…but I really dislike the RGB and shown components trend.  I want it to work great and look inconspicuous on the desk, rather than be a showoff epeen build. :)

Unfortunately Cheap and USB-C are not yet synonymous. In win 101C and NZXT H510 are both $80 and have type c, but have clear side panels and airflow is weird (especially in the 101C)

The Define R6/S2 and Phanteks P600s have solid side panel options with USB-C, but we're now getting into triple digit USD territory here.

Fractal Design Define C and be quiet! Pure base 600 have solid side panel cases for $85-90, but no USB-C...

Cougar has been around for a while. Their main series of cases is the Panzer series, and they made the Cougar Conquerer Semi-Open showpiece case Jay used in one of his videos

I actually jsut found out that you can get the 101C with a steel side panel, but it's "available upon  request" whatever that means. So you might be able to buy the 101 solid side panel from In Win Separately.

That or you have to buy from them direct
