Fortnite Middle East Servers

Hello there. I was wondering why I get 60-70 ping when I'm on Middle East Server ON pc. They said it's gonna be based in Bahrain, but I'm literally 30 minutes driving distance from there (Dammam). I expected like 0-10 ping! CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW TO FIX THIS?!?!?!?

There is latency between your PC to your Internet, your Internet to Epics internet, and Epics internet to Epics Servers. Somewhere along this line is choked. 

 

Are you on wifi or hardwired in? 

how fast is your internet? 

What Mobo do you have and does it support your internet speed?

My internet is good, like 45 Mbps per second. I'm using Zain internet.

yeah not ethernet. I have an ethernet cable and a port under my desk but It doesn't connect for some reason.

It's not in Bahrain, it's in Mumbai, India, sadly.

 

I mean, don't get me wrong, am all happy about indian players getting good ping but, afterall they said it is going to be a middle east server, but turns out it's not, so..sorry to be the bearer of bad news lol

Internet speed isn't really relevant when it comes to ping. It has more to do with how far away the server is.

Based on their decisions so far (and especially this season), I'd say that this is a pretty accurate statement.
