Hey guys,

i just bougt myself a big upgrade for my pc. The setup now is: gigabyte b450

ryzen 7 3700x

corsair vengeance 2x8gb ddr4 3600mhz

corsair cx750m

rx480 8gb

but now that i have everything installed it wont post/show any image and my mouse and keyboard doesn’t light up. I also noticed that my rx480 fan doesn’t run (maybe that is bc it isn’t under a load. What i have tried so far:

I have used my older psu

I chanced out the hdmi cable and tried them on both of my displays.

I used 1 stick on all the chancels and switched them around. My mouse and keyboard also doesn’t light up on the front usb.

Used the other pci 16x slot. And looked up if the cpu and ram are compatible with the motherboard wich they are.

Does somebody have the same issue or hopefully a solution?

thank you in advance.

Your motherboard may need a BIOS update before it can support a ryzen 3000 series CPU as the B450 platform was released before ryzen 3000 came out. Try a ryzen 2000 or 1000 cpu. If it boots, update the BIOS and then put in the 3700x again.

If you don't have an older processor, AMD will send you a single core Athlon to perform a bios update. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100
