Uprading windows from 32 bit to 64 bit?

Is it possible to ugrade your pc from 32 bit into 64? if yes, how?

Not in place no.

A clean install is required.

theoretically you should be able to use a 64 bit installer over the 32bit but is not guaranteed to work well, installer might complain and installation might end like a mess

 

why do you need to do that? is it a old machine? perhaps is better to leave it 32 bit

 

if you installed the wrong version, just save your personal files and reinstall but format the hard disk before installing 64bit again

To go from a 32-bit operating system to a 64-bit operating system a backup of all critical files combined with a complete format and reinstall is required.
