Put the extra cash in memory or GPU.

Am I missing something?  He just asked about a motherboard, not CPU, RAM or GPU.  He has a 2070 already.

Heres my issue I just recently bought an elgato hd60 pro for recording gameplay. But no matter what I do settings wise along with the chat link cable I cannot get sound on my videos both game sound microphone and team chat. I believe my motherboards on deck sound board could be my problem.

Ha. I see, not a simple upgrade.

You could try a USB external sound adapter. At least it may be a work around. until you figure it out. I had a similar problem and a cheap USB adapter worked.

If you have a local flea market you may find one. [ Have a look in Amazon the get, what it look like.]

Look in Amazon for Sound Adapter, in case you don't trust the link.

Just try, remove the card . Then do a sound check.

If you have sound after removing the card. It's possible that the problem is Window related. Not a hardware problem but software.

Try installing the card , then do a clean install of window. With the drivers for the card.

Before you do a clean install, make sure to backup  Bookmarks,Photos, Password,  ......

if you have not done a clean install. Look, in YouTube on how to do it.

If you remove the card, and still get no sound I would do a clean window install anyway to remove any doubt on software side.
