Hello,

I'm a first time builder. I'm moving after I build my PC so I want it to fit in my carry on bag.

That's why I think I'm gonna build inside a Micro ATX case but I want an X570 Mini ITX MOBO cause I think they are better than the current Micro ATX ones.

My current specs are:

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BVvZgw

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 33.84 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock X570 PHANTOM GAMING-ITX/TB3 Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard???????
Memory: G.Skill Flare X Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING OC WHITE Video Card
Case: Fractal Design Define Mini MicroATX Mini Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Monitor: Asus ROG SWIFT PG279QZ 27.0" 2560x1440 165 Hz Monitor
Keyboard: Logitech G613 Wireless Standard Keyboard
Headphones: Cooler Master MH752 7.1 Channel  Headset
Speakers: Logitech Z623 200 W 2.1 Channel Speakers
UPS: CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD UPS
Custom: LG USB2.0 Slim Portable Blu-ray External Drive w/ M-DISC

Use: Gaming mostly but also for personal and work use. I would also like to add a second monitor down the line.

I don't know if I should go for the Gigabyte or ASRock Motherboard.

Any recommendations? Should I go for an ATX build?

Thanks a lot!

Where are you located now and where are you moving too?

From my personal experience if you're located in the US taking Desktop PC's even if small is a hassle especially as a carry on item, some airlines won't even let you, they will have you check it. If I were you I would wait until you were moved to build your PC, if you want to take it as a carry on what are you going to to with the monitor and peripherals?

Main Desktop: CPU - i9-14900k | Mobo - Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 | GPU - ASUS TUF Gaming OC RTX 4090 RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 64GB 3600mhz | AIO - H150i Pro XT | PSU - Corsair RM1000X | Case - Phanteks P500A Digital - White | Storage - Samsung 970 Pro M.2 NVME SSD 512GB / Sabrent Rocket 1TB Nvme / Samsung 860 Evo Pro 500GB / Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2tb Nvme / Samsung 870 QVO 4TB  |

TV Streaming PC: Intel Nuc CPU - i7 8th Gen | RAM - 16GB DDR4 2666mhz | Storage - 256GB WD Black M.2 NVME SSD |

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 - Phantom Black 512GB |

Because I like the case I have and I want more space. And It's still not that big. I didn't like the Mini ITX cases lol.

TRUEEEEEE.

I'm moving from Puerto Rico to Wisconsin. So yeah maybe I will wait the year or send the components and stuff directly there to my gf.
