5700xt vs 2060 super

I’m building a pc tomorrow and don’t have time for custom cards two come out and need to buy a rtx 2060 super or 5700xt which is faster for shadow of the tomb raider and Fortnite and does the 5700xt get hot

5700xt  will be faster but hotter and louder. The 2060 super is slower but has RTX features. If you don’t care about a card being audible while gaming the 5700xt will be great. If you want your system to be silent and to dabble in ray tracing and DLSS go with the 2060 super.

SOTTR = 5700 XT
Fornite = 2060S

 

Any games using Unreal Engine 4 will be faster on 2060S. 

 

5700XT is hot and loud.

5700xt custom cards are coming soon, those will mostly fix the issue of the card being hot and loud

At 1080p and I need to order the within 3 days do you know when custom card are coming out

Thanks I but since I can’t get a custom card is the 5700xt still worth it considering the heat issues or does it get too hot and loud

You can slap it with an aftermarket cooler like Accelero Extreme 3 for like $50.

If you get some problems by the blower cooler model like noise and thermal throttling resulting performance drops, then you'll be more complicated latter and you'll complaining about it and clueless in looking for solutions as this is your first ever build, and might regret your premature decision.

Asus will release their ROG Strix RX 5700(XT) at 16 August, not far ahead if you have spare self control and stretch the budget little bit more for it. Check this Strix RX 5700(XT) "here"

Grab Nvidia then, AMD card need some tweaking to perform at it's best.

the problem is that I have to build it within a few days because I will be busy after that it is not because of my self control
