Hey, I have a quick question about a usb splitter. I have my xbox one and a Razer laptop, and I have been using my keyboard and mouse with the xbox to play war thunder. So at the moment I have to unplug the keyboard and mouse from the xbox and into the laptop. Would a usb splitter let me use either one without unplugging one to the other? Also would it make the mouse control both at once or something? I use my laptop for music when playing on my xbox, and when I click it can change the song or close the app or anything else. Thank you for any replies, and sorry if that is confusing.

a splitter like a usb hub?

it doesnt do what you need, a splitter or a hub just concentrates all the connected devices into one single connector to comunicate with the motherboard of the pc or the device you connect to it

if you use your keyboard and mouse on the xbox to watch multimedia, videos and similar stuff i would just buy a logitech k400 and leave it connected there all the time, is a basic keyboard with a touchpad

No, you can't have a mouse or keyboard connected to two things at same time.

You need a KVM switch to switch mouse and keyboard between two things.

If you want something cheaper, you can use a USB hub and then you only have to move one cable between the console and your PC.

And yeah, another option would be wireless keyboards like the person above me says. Simply move the receiver between devices or buy two separate wireless cards.
