I am not sure if this should be in displays or graphics card forum, but I'll start here. I have searched the forum and google. There are similar issues that I am seeing but no clear solution.

I have a user that has two monitors, one on DVI-D the other on VGA, the one on DVI will randomly black out for a few seconds. This issue follows the DVI cable. I have tried two different DVI cables, and a display port to dvi adapter and still has this issue. I have tried both onboard graphics and a Geforce GT 710 and the issue persists.

I'm trying to get a hold of a display port to vga adapter to test that.  Baring that I'm going to try running on VGA from the Geforce and VGA from the on-board video and see if it works that way. (The monitors support both DVI and VGA, and they are both brand new, the computer is also brand new. not even 4 months old yet.)

I'm not sure if I'm really looking for help here or just needed to vent. either way thanks to any one who replys.

Try using the monitor with another pc to see if the problem follows it.
