Which of these 3 is the best 1440p ultrawide for gaming?

TommyTwommy

Acer Predator X34P - 900€

LG 34GK950G-B - 1000€

ROG Swift PG349Q - 1200€

They pretty much all share the same specs.. IPS, 120Hz, G-Sync 3440x1440 Resolution.. These are the only 3 monitors that fit my needs that are available in my local shop.. Are there any huge differences in quality and is any of these worth paying more money for? I am currently on a cheap, old, LG 25" ultrawide that cost me ~150€ so I am sure all of these will be amazing.. I just don't want dead pixels.. (I've bought a 500€ monitor from Alienware/Dell a year ago and it had a dead pixel)

Get the LG 34GK950G-B or the Asus if you can get it at same price.

Dead pixel/bleeding = panel lottery, my experience is that Acer / Dell suffer the most from this, especially Dell

I would personally go with LG. Not because I am surrounded with LG monitors and TVs as I am writing this but because they actually make their own panels unlike the other 2.

ROG is probably the best but not 200e better.

MAIN BUILD!

Mind telling me the reason not to get the Acer one.. also I know it is a lottery.. I just know each manufacturer has different rules and are less prone to them.

Well I have 2 very cheap low end IPS LG monitors and I am amazed by their quality so I was thinking of getting an LG again.. I really don't like the look of the Asus one. I wan't something nice and simple, not a spaceship on my desk..

He said not to go for the Acer if you afraid of dead pixels because Acer has to go and get a panel, while LG makes their own panel and will have a higher quality control of what they put in their monitors (ofc the keep the best panels for their screens). Which again is all lottery but this is a way to minimize it.

I guess LG it is :D but before I buy it.. it says 60Hz and 120 OC. they don't advertise it anywhere as 120Hz, only in detailed specs it says 60Hz (120 OC)... does that mean that there is a chance I won't be able to OC it? I don't wanna buy it and be stuck on 60Hz :o

ugh, i dont like the fact that 25% people get sent 2 monitors in a row that have dead pixels.. why is it even a thing that $1000 monitors have dead pixels.. idc how much money they'd lose, but 1 dead pixel = throw it in the trash.. this is pathetic.. I don't think I'll be buying any monitors at all if this is the case.. this ain't no lottery.. this is a fucking 1 in 4 chance you'll end up with a dead pixel..
